WANEP-Nigeria staff have been taking part in an Advocacy and Influencing Workshop, organized by Mercy Corps - Nigeria.
The 2-day workshop aims to enable IPCR staff members to gain a better understanding of what advocacy is and how it can increase PARTNER impact; to provide an opportunity for IPCR staff members to improve their advocacy and influence skills; and also support IPCR to implement advocacy initiatives at national and state levels.
The workshop which started on wednesday, ends thursday September 19, 2024.

Hello friends. We are excited to introduce to you our WomanCrush for today. She is Dr. Rachael Misan-Ruppee.
Dr. Rachael Misan-Ruppee is an independent development consultant, radio host, and women, peace, security, education, empowerment and gender equality advocate.
With over 16-year experience in development work. She sits on the board of several Non-Governmental Organizations. She is the host, of a gender equality programme “African Woman” a weekly, live radio phone-in talk show on Rize 106.7fm, which raises awareness on the issues of women and girls, in order to end discrimination against them in all spheres of life.
She anchored a radio programme “Women Voices for Peace” that popularized the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and other related instrument, known as women peace and security (WPS) agenda.
She is a researcher and has attended and presented papers in national and international conferences and has published articles in national and International Journals of repute.
She is a grassroot mobilizer, Executive Director, Development Initiative for Community Impact (DICI), an organization, that promote the advancement of women and girls, for peace and security and all-round empowerment.
Rachael is an unapologetic gender equality advocate who has taken several measures to champion the cause of women and girls. She has always advocated for women and girls’ education, peace, security and for the participation of women at all levels of decision-making. She is passionate about women and girls all-round empowerment and the promotion of their full fundamental human rights.
Rachael is currently the WANEP-NIGERIA’s Delta State coordinator.
